im not huge on electro now, but when i was i didnt even like his shit. But remember, deadmau5 wouldnt be where he is today without YOU (his fans) and a LOT of hard work...this isnt the 60's people, if you want to thrive as an independent artist these days you better be prepared to WORK YOUR ASS OFF!! Gone are the days of the care-free musician...Its a lot of footwork, not many famous producers are any good, but they are smart, gotta make friends with the right people. No discredit to his work ethic, but i can agree he is not on the level he and everyone else thinks he is. Also, most big-time producers/djs are not kind to their fans, being flown around the world 1st class and pampered in 7* hotels all the time, its easy to let your ego take over. And this happens all to often....you wont catch me rushing up to his set anytime soon thats for dammmnn sure!

how can you compare any dj especially deadmau5 to david guetta, he is probably one of the all time worst dj's live, his productions are shit, people think he sounds good only because he uses bitch females and akon in every song, he puts big names in his tunes to cover up his hideous basslines and simplistic borrowed sounds.

I'd say you're the one who needs to do your research. First of all learn who your talking to... Second of all, learn who you're talking shit about (Guetta in example has been producing music much longer than you've even listened to edm)... And third who the fuck you're supporting. Some two-bit hack who uses a computer program you claim to be "more legit than anything". Ableton does everything for you, has pre-made sample beats that you can easily string together to make a song (one time i actually took the samples that ableton came with and made an EXACT replica of a deadmau5 song, so much for creativity....) Just because you don't like Guetta doesn't mean he sucks, frankly i'm not the biggest fan of him either, but i love his older shit (which you probably have never even heard) and i still respect him as a dj and producer.
And by the way do you know the reason that two-bit hack wears that mask, why he keeps it on walking around after a set (if he even feels like it)?

maybe deadmau5 has help when creating some of his sounds, but you make it seem like your friend (who all we know your making up) has a big role in what the mau5 does, which is most likely wrong. even if deadmau5 has a sound engineer it isn't the sound engineers job to eq, link parameters, filters, automate, and sturcturally organize the track to sound the way it does, which all in essence is the main part of producing.
also if anyone has a role in deadmau5's sound its STEVE DUDA, not your sorry ass make believe friend, duda is one of the best sound engineers out there, creating a vast assortment of vst's (LUCIFER), sounds, and kick packs, not your sorry ass make believe friend. and if steve duda actually played as much of a role as you say your friend does then it is a guarantee that he would want credit for his work, and deadmau5 would be obliged to give him credit as well, you honestly think duda would make sounds for deadmau5 and stay quiet about it, i don't think so.
and the mau5 head is an insanely original marketing gimmic that deadmau5 smartly employed to gain attention, he smartly made his mask very distinct, big, and recognizable, and created a sort of atmosphere as a dj that you only see from bands and live musical acts, making it justifiably an experience to see him perform live, creating very elaborate stage setups and enhanced visual effects.
if anything deadmau5 is making the EDM scene much more enjoyable, i don't know about you but watching a dj spin who just uses cdj's is much more boring than watching a dj who works the crowd visually.

and to say deadmau5 is unique in his production and staging is just a misnomer, the only stage production deadmau5 has is his mask, which is i suppose somewhat unique, but when you compare it to people like chemical brothers and daft punk, it's nothing new, and far from special, those two examples have used history of masks costumes as well as their OWN full stage performance, (DPs pyramid ie)
and as stated before, deadmau5 hates the crowds, he doesn't perform for them
all he does is wave his arms back and forth and "hand dance" (which is usually what you do when you're too tired or fucked up to dance normally)
so i can conclude that deadmau5 either doesn't give a shit to be up there, is beyond fucked up, or just has no energy or enthusiasm, thus disproving nearly every statement you just made.
