got fucked over by taxi after edc plz help

so after edc i got a taxi to go home but i only had 38 cash, but credit card on hand (never really used taxis b4 and i was over 50 miles aaway)

i ask the dude if i can pay 38 in cash then the rest on credit card, he said let me scan the credit card to see if its legit

scans it and hands it back and says no, after long talk and him yelling at me to get cash from my debit i said i have no cash, i pay him 13 bux which is how far he took me and i go on the metro

so now i have on my online staetment htat i owe 150 to a la checker cab for who knows what, he drove me like 3 miles all he did was scan my card, i got no receipt and signed no papers

i called wells fargo and got to the dispute department and they said theres nothing they can do about it unless the taxi driver who calls me says it was a mistake, but we had a fight so im sure he will try to lie or fuck me over, he drove me like 2 streets i already payed him cash for that and now i owe 150?!?! wtf?!

any thing else i can do? apparently i dont have to pay the 150 as long as its under dispute but once its not i might have to pay that..that riduclous 150 for nothing..

call your bank and dispute the charge for "services not delivered" or something like that and get them to drop it. if not threaten to sue the pants off of the cab company you used

if you can produce the metro ticket/receipt and show it to the bank along with your EDC ticket/receipt (assuming he picked u up from EDC), it might help for prove of how far he drove you.

you might owe 150 and then a overdraft fee and then an additional overdraft fee if you don't get that money in your bank account within 5 days SOUNDS LIKE YOU GOT FUCKED ALRIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

call the cab company directly.

do you have any info about the cabby? Cab #, name, anything?


ALWAYS get a receipt for cabs...NEVER use a credit card, no signature is required if it's a debit/credit and even if it's just credit for some cab co.s

Try to dispute the charges with your bank...use your EDC ticket and metro ticket as receipts for place of pick up and drop off, and call the cab company and do the same thing.

otherwise you're SOL.
