LOL if you would attend a true rave your spirits would be high and never let down. EDC was not even a rave to begin with....so no wonder you're feeling let down.

i hit 4 massive in a row when i first began to rave. I went to MM04, tiesto 07, noc 07, MM07 then i went to the first ever emf and i was like wtff where are all the people? Soon after i realized that raver weren't these huge massive events my bubble got its hole. then as the scene really began to degrees the filth and the grime built up the x wore off raving just got old. Honestly im a clubber at heart the rave scene was fun and it really taught me alot but at the end its just something you grow out of.
idk... i don't see myself growing out of this anyways =/

honestly, the term PLUR has lost all meaning for me because of how it's thrown around. I still practice and believe in what it stands for, but the term itself leaves a sickening taste in my mouth.
if you talking to me i didnt say grow out of plur. i said grow out of the rave scene. what i meant was you can look at the rave scene kinda like how you look at school, you attend these events like you do school, you learn from these events like you do at school, you meet people at these events like you do at school, but the time will come when you need to graduate school, and thats what i meant. at one point or another you need to graduate and leave the rave scene and use what you learn from your years there and apply it to your life.

Word to your mo mo, Crumpet!
Let's all accept what PLUR is now - a relic of a bygone raving era. That shit actually meant something in the 90's and even up until 2002. After that, the nature of the scene changed...the ravers changed...and PLUR made it's graceful exit.
As soon as some group of kids came in, called themselves a family, and spent all night making sure no "outsiders" came too close - PLUR died. I let it go...y'all should too.
Now, it's just "acting cool to people" - which is basically all PLUR ever was.
i know so many new raver girls that throw around the word PLUR like it was going out of style yet they are some of the biggest drama queens and two-faced girls I ever met. The only girl I know who actively believes in it has it tattood on her side...and shes 25 now, goes to a rave every now and then, but shes just an overall great person

HAHA. these kids have never had to call a number to get directions.
does anybody remember (p)reset the promoters lost the venue, then got us to wait until 11 for posted location. they split the venue into three locations with vans running between them and later the satellite locations were busted. kids don't know shit about raves.

I don't care that the baby ravers don't know anything...I care that most of them don't want to know anything.
I was over "raving" when I moved to California. No dancing space, cannot comfortably watch the show, every chick wearing the same outfit with the same hair cut.....and blow ups....*shudder* blow ups everywhere...feels like I'm on the Jersey Shore.

I think most will agree that the rave is way to over-produced and over-done in Cali. It really is more of a "festival" type atmosphere than a show. At the same time - who gives a shit. The best part of the rave is that you can go and find whatever you want. It doesn't matter what else is going on so long as you're getting what you came to find...
...and I don't think a couple of blow-ups and some scantily-clad Ptots should do much of anything to take that away from you.
