I hear stories in which one of my friends tells me that she saw a raver kid get jumped and his friends didn't help him out and just watched him get his ass kicked. Should plurr always be followed as a guide line or should it be broken when someone is getting hurt... I have the same situation 2 so should plurr always be followed in all situation
With all the bigotry and prejudice in this world it is a wonder this word still exists. Respect is a much misunderstood word that has much more power than offhandedly perceived. Respect for another means doing the right thing for them. Even if it means turning them over to the police or sending them to a drug rehab center. You show them respect by doing what is right, even at your own expense. True respect isn't something others have to earn from you, it's something you DO to show THEM how much you respect THEM. There is no give-and-take, there is only give. Respect, true respect, is an act of selflessness to even the most ungrateful, if they are in need.
Responsibility
Ironically, the most ignored word in this life philosophy. Responsibility is the culmination of all these aspects woven together. Responsibility is taking action when needed. Essentially, if shit goes down, your friends should help you the best way that they can. If they are sitting there watching you get your ass beat, they really aren't very good friends and I personally believe do not have PLURR in them. However, if this was california, then jumping in to fight off the others might or might not be the best course of action.
California has the "mutual combat" law, which basically states that you cannot engage in any sort of combat for any reason, period. If you are lying in a pool of your own blood with ten people kicking the shit out of you, and your one chance of getting out alive means kicking someones shins out, the law states that you are not allowed to do so. If you were to escape and go to the police from the ordeal, it's likely that you could be the one arrested for engaging in mutual combat.
It's retarded, I know. Personally I would break that law gladly, because it's the right thing to do.

PLUR is a totally made up word, but the concepts are 100% real. Sure, you hear people say it and it makes you laugh. But if you stop and think about the meaning behind it, PLUR is basically just the way people should treat each other - even outside the rave community/environment.
technically all words were made up at some point in time. It's how language evolved. The english language didn't even have the word "it" until Shakespeare.
In any case, PLURR is just an acronym made of several words which portray values that, IMO, are something to strive for in yourself. To obtain it would be peachy but unlikely. Still, that's no excuse to not try.
PLURR is just as real a word as SCUBA (which, btw, is also an acronym, Self Contained Underwater Breathing Apparatus... I think).
