QUESTION 4 ALL RAVERS!!!! mystics? mysticism? r what MOST ravers r!?!?!

ok first time doin a forum and more than likely my last. start to talk to ppl at raves and take in the generaL PLUR theme and start to love the idea. So i go to more and seem to find the same type of ppl which is what alot of ppl would call "down to earth" ppl and other things. And in alot of other cases u seem to find ppl seaching 4 something maybe 4 themself which mite be wrong to say. Ok now for my question if u do not know the definition of mysticism or even may have a little dout on what the definition is then PLEASE look it up even look in wikipedia explains it better okok is just bout every raver r mystics? looking 4 others to share mysticism ways? ya i know wierd just had to ask haha

Welcome to our forums. I really like where this idea is going, but for future reference if you make another thread of similar content please post it in the GD forum, not Intro.

In a way, yes, most ravers are mystics in the sense that we do put ourselves into a heightened state of awareness or attempt to, at least. Many ravers do so because they are searching for something more than this mundane life, and some of them find it for roughly 6-8 hours.

However, as an overall goal for the majority of ravers out there, we are simply trying to have fun. We aren't trying to make a miracle experience for the purpose of finding meaning to our existence or to find a power higher than ourselves. What we normally want from being a raver and going to raves is to have fun, to have self-expression and to interact with our peers. Maybe some of us attain a mysticism like experience when in the heat of a song and a good roll (or for people like me, who can get high off just dancing and interacting with my peers). Yet that isn't what most of us are seeking when the sun sets and the music box thrums with sound and we light up the night.

no I'm not a "mystic", there is no mystery to JESUS CHRIST he always has our backs, and being the son of GOD we can have faith in his being our point of contact between ourselves and God. Gods will be Gods, but people must just be people, mysticism tries too hard.

ya my bad didnt even know where this forums goin and love where you coming from which i agree toataly but haha alway a but.. but dont ppl have more deeper purpose of goin for example when you go to a bar and u asked anyone there what is ur purpose of being here they will normaly say to have fun with my friends but i am willing to bet that 90% of them have a deeper purpose which i have had alot ppl admit is to finding someone realy to the point of trying to find love which everyone seeks if they like it or not. so im just wondering what the deeper purpose which could be alot of different things i was just guessin one with the mystic thing! also not a die hard mystic just kinda a lil kid mystic mind lol also just think that ppl tryin to find other kinda mystic minds when they go and not tryin to find mysticism

i like you devotion as most christians r! i myself try to say thing as i believe i think and others ways bc 4 everyone doesnt believe in the same thing so i do not want to put down anyone that believe something different bc i respect all believes bc as all religious and spirtual thing r faith as i believe if i am wrong then let me know. my troubles r when ppl push one of these thing and say they r rite and everyone else in the worlds wrong and actualy most time said they goin to hell i think that is really wrong and they have no rite to be honest!!

i replied to yer post but plurspace didnt post it, neway I was just sayin that it aint our place to judge or condemen any1. I been thru some crazy shit, I should be dead many times over,should be in jail or on thee streets many times more than that but Jesus always had my back. I tell people cuz maybe they will give him a chance. Now maybe a different diety has yer back, das great too. Listen, I always believed that the whole "do this or believe our way or yer going to hell" was evil in it self because it persuades people to not have a relationship with god. It make them feel that as sinners they have nothing in common with god and his children. That is vile, we are ALL sinners yes even the pope. I harped back to the south park episode, mayube it was the south park movie, but where the whole town dies and they are at the gates of heaven and the catholics, jews, ect are condmed to hell. The catholic priest i believe asks the Arcgangel Gabriel why and he sais "sorry the correct awnser was mormonsim" lol. It just shows the idiocracy in trying, as mere mortals, to predict and make judgements on our peers regarding their afterlife. It's not our place.
