whitechaple and TTEOTD are both amazing aswell, pretty much anything with blast-beats gets me moving..
if you're from the LA area you should check out this tour "Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival 2009" Marlyn manson and slayer are headlining not my cup of tea but the rest of the bands are going to be amazing..

not that i hate the faceless (i used to intern with the vocalist over at a label) or necrophagist, but they can both be snoozfests.
though if eric wants something good, i would suggest dropping the shitty rockstar mayhem bullshit and jump on the summer slaughter tour, which for the most part has a solid decent l lineup if you are in to the technical stuff.
i think the headliners are suffocation and necrophagist with dying fetus and darkest hour and a bunch other bands.

as for bands you might want to give a whirl:
try obscura (they just debuted their freshmen effort ova at relapse)
or gorguts (who has an album named obscura the band above took homage from)

those pig squeal screams just dont attract my attention!!!!
To me it literally sounds the same!!!!!!!
Ill stick to my bands

I just think the vocals and drumming kill everything!

that and i dont know...dillinger escape plan, but dep is a bit more extreme, but they do have a excellent vocalist and drummer. actually, everyone is pretty solid in the band

no, see that just it. i am a trained musician. yeah it can be difficult to play 20 sweeps in a song, but if you are going to play the same basic melody then im going to listen to the fuckers who play the basic melody better. secondly, i like guitarist who reinvent the wheel and neither one of those do that. i dont hate technical, i just like it interesting.

Like i said in the first place.....those bands have talent.....they are good musicians..... only reason why i dont listen to them is cause of the vocals
